I’m a former graphic designer turned wife, mom, and passionate home cook! I’ve always believed that food is a love language, and my kitchen is where I share that love every single day. Life with two energetic kids, a golden retriever named Charlie, and a husband who’s my best taste-tester keeps me busy, but it also fuels my creativity in the kitchen.

My Journey
My love for cooking began in my grandma’s tiny kitchen, where I’d watch her create incredible meals from scratch with nothing more than fresh ingredients and a pinch of love. She taught me that food doesn’t just nourish the body—it nourishes the soul.
As I grew up, my creative side found its outlet in design, and I worked as a graphic designer for 10 years. But when I became a mom, I realized my passion for cooking was more than just a hobby—it was the way I connected with my family. That’s when I started creating recipes that are easy to make, full of flavor, and perfect for busy families like mine.
Flavors From Scratch was born out of my desire to share those recipes with others and show that even the simplest meals can be extraordinary.

- My Husband, James: My partner in everything and the best sous chef I could ask for. We’ve been married for 12 wonderful years, and he’s always up for trying my latest culinary experiment.
- My Kids: Ella (8), who loves decorating cupcakes, and Liam (5), who insists on helping me stir every pot of soup. They keep my days lively and my heart full.
- My Grandma’s Recipe Box: It’s filled with handwritten treasures, and every recipe I recreate from it brings me closer to her.
- Saturday Farmer’s Market Trips: I love discovering fresh, seasonal ingredients to inspire new recipes.
- Coffee & Quiet Mornings: The calm before the chaos is where I plan my meals for the week (with a big mug of coffee in hand).
Why I Started Flavors From Scratch
A few years ago, I found myself in a rut—making the same meals on repeat and feeling like I’d lost the spark that cooking once gave me. I started experimenting in the kitchen, recreating recipes from my childhood, and finding ways to make food both delicious and approachable. That’s when Flavors From Scratch was born.
